We are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for a world-class global Tier 1 supplier of Automotive components.
Located in Hertfordshire, and specialising in vehicle electrical and electronic component systems. This organisation has been successful in securing contracts with several major Worldwide OEM's.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for all new and existing customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification, assessment and implementation of cost reduction opportunities across the function.
- Maintain and implement systems to support the business development and customer requirements. Including ISO 16949/TS 9002, continuous improvement and preventative activities.
- Management, assessment and selection of warehouses, freight forwarders and other appropriate third party supplier.
- Management of vendors to meet business and customer requirements.
- Ongoing analysis and monitoring of existing KPI's to establish effectiveness of current procedures, practices and strategy.
- Recruitment and development of Supply Chain Personnel. Ensuring all direct reports achieve their respective KPI's.
- Ensure import/export documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
The successful candidate should have/be;
- Degree qualified (Engineering/Business/Logistics/Purchasing).
- Previous experience within a Supply Chain Management or Supervisory role.
- Proven experience of SAP/EDI and web based OEM tools.
- Experience of setting up new supply chain/supply routes.
- Customer focused.
- Excellent numeracy, analysis and problem solving skills.
