An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer or Design Engineer to join a large Staffordshire based company who design and manufacture products used within the Power Generation Industry. The company takes pride in its unrivalled Training and Development programmes and is part of a World Leading organisation within Nuclear Power.
The Role
The principal duties of this position are as follows:
-To work in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
-Design of HV Switchgear from layouts to detail production drawings and BOMs.
-Implement technological solutions, reduce costs and ensure optimised industrial processes.
-Develop customer satisfaction and maintain customer contact by delivering technical support as required.
-Represent the unit at business fairs and events promoting technical solutions, proposing and developing technical partnerships and maximising new business opportunities.
The Person
We are looking to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
-Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
-Switchgear Design (Advantageous)
-Experience Designing products within a Medium-High Voltage environment
-Experience within AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop or any other 3D Modelling package
