A manufacturer of wire harness products for leading Automotive OEM's in the UK and Europe currently have a requirement for an EDS Engineer. They are looking for someone with previous experience of the wire systems industry.
The EDS Engineer will be responsible for:
-All the engineering design and validation aspects of the electrical distribution during vehicle launch phases and volume production
-Transforming 3D virtual designs and models into fully-engineered harness product
-Producing electrical/
mechanical proposals for EDS
-Component parts
Specification of components
-Generation and validation of robust engineering solutions
-Demonstrating product integrity through calculation or modelling
-Ensuring harnesses are suitable for manufacture and installation
-Jointly own specific harnesses, in conjunction with 3D and Manufacturing Engineers
-Writing Product Validation Reports demonstrating product compliance with customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will be educated to HND / degree level in an Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering and have knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and circuits.
