We are currently recruiting an Automotive Tooling Buyer for a leading 1st Tier Supplier of complete interior and exterior trim systems. It is important that applicants have previous experience with procurement of injection mould tooling across Europe and Asia.

As Tooling Buyer you will be responsible for the co-ordination and procurement of all Tooling for UK Automotive Programmes. You will also participate in core Commodity Strategy Development and liaison between Commodity Purchasing and the Project Development Team.

As Tooling Buyer your main tasks will include:

- Preparation of RFQ for potential sourcing decision
- Create process to enable cost tracking and reporting on Tooling and Equipment
- Manage supplier cost control within Change Management Systems
- Support Programme launch within a structured APQP process

Specific requirements for this role will be:

- Responsibility for achieving Cost, Timing and Quality requirements related to all Tooling & CAPEX
- Ideally educated to degree level in Commercial or Technical Engineering or appropriate job experience: 'Procurement of Injection Moulding Tooling'
- Several years within the automotive industry, together with proven experience in Purchasing, Operational and Strategic involvement
- In depth understanding of Purchasing Tools and Practices: Negotiation, Costing and contract reviews.
- Vast exposure to: MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Controlling and Cost Analysis
- Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead negotiations

It is essential that candidates have previous experience in the Procurement of Injection Mould Tooling within the Automotive arena, be that from a Tier one arena or within an OEM manufacturing environment.
