Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager
We are recruiting for an automotive biased Senior Quality Engineer for a leading 1st Tier Automotive supplier. In the absence of the Plant Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Engineer will have complete responsibility for managing the quality function including Quality Systems adherence, product quality and managing people with in the team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Management of the QA operations across the plant in with close with the QM establishing key performance indicators.
* Work closely with Programme management to ensure the successful implementation of New Programmes and be a key member of the implementation team, FMEA and Control Plan implementation.
* Manage Quality Technician and Engineering activities in the absence of the QA Manager.
* Manage and coordinate the combined UK Quality reports and QOS systems.
* Set and communicate supplier quality targets and measure performance
* Report supplier PPMs monthly and execute supplier corrective action plans.
* Ensure that requirements of Environmental, Health and Safety Policy are communicated to, understood and adhered to by all Quality personnel.
* Drive the supplier APQP process to achieve a quality launch.

You will have highly developed communication skills, together with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels in the business and with customers/ suppliers.
You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of IT literacy- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project together with being highly customer focussed.
