Experience: The ideal candidate will have had previous extensive experience in building services mechanical estimating for commercial and Education projects and will hold relevant qualifications.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator for our client in Birmingham. They are a well-established company who have excellent relations within most local councils.

They have a healthy order book that will see them through to 2012 and it is due to this success that they are in the supported situation of expanding the Mechanical department.

A lot of their work is within the Commercial and Education sectors and the project values are up to £8M.

You will be responsible for:
* Quoting for Mechanical projects using a computerised estimating package.
* Knowledge of schedule of rates and or a bill of quantities is desirable.
* Must have previous commercial building services mechanical / heating & plumbing estimating experience on commercial projects.
* Interpretation of mechanical design and tender documentation.
* Site Surveys to client properties to assess the current mechanical installations.
* Assisting the bid team with client presentations.
