A World Leading Designer, Developer and Manufacturer of Components and Systems in Warwickshire are currently looking for a Test Instrumentation Specialist to manage in house and on site instrumentation projects from their conception phase through execution to finalisation including reporting.
The Role
Manage in-house and on-site instrumentation projects at a world class level by:
- Creating and executing project plans.
- Revising project plans as appropriate to satisfy changing needs and requirements.
- Assessing project resource needs and agreeing personnel plans with the line management.
- Optimally utilising available project resources to deliver projects on time, on budget and at the right quality.
- Managing all technical (instrumentation) aspects of instrumentation projects.
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project.
- Continuously controlling project deliverables (including time, money and quality).
- Continually tracking and reporting hours and costs.
- Managing project budget and time plans.
- Communicating professionally and openly within the organisation.
- Preparing the required documentation for project reviews and presenting the projects to the stakeholders.
- Working to the TMG standards, in particular but not limited to project management requirements and directives.
- Proactively seeking information on any changes to the requirements of projects and project management.
- Reporting status and achievements of projects to the stakeholders.
- Initiating timely invoicing and following-up on late payments.
- Timely preparing project completion reports.
- Mitigating project risks including technical, financial, schedule, EHS and resources risks.
- Highlighting problems and potential issues to the Line management early if it needs their attention.
- Keeping track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with the organisation.

- Wide technical knowledge in instrumentation

EXPERIENCE

- 5-8 years experience in Prototype & R&D instrumentation.
- 5 years experience in technical project management.
Optional
- Experience in rotating machines instrumentation.
- Site experience.
PROFESSIONAL SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Mandatory
- Very strong skills in instrumentation application and integration techniques.
- Excellent project management skills.
