Development Engineer, Product Development Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Development Engineer for an automotive first tier supplier, based in the West Midlands, Birmingham.
The Development Engineer will be responsible for new product introduction, together with submission of full PPAP documentation (Process Flow, Control Plan, FMEA, Work Instructions etc)
in line with TS16949.
As Development Engineer your role will require customer and supplier liaison to ensure the successful introduction of new projects, on time and within budget allowing for all manufacturing and assembly operations including continuous improvement.
Other areas of Responsibility:
* Material and Prototype Development.
* Identify and implement productivity savings
* Assist with industrialization of new products - working with production engineers and production supervision to create new cells/processes
* Support Production Engineering in planning plant layouts, reviewing FMEA's, establishing standard times and development of visual management data etc
Applications are welcome from degree qualified candidates or candidates that are apprentice trained with relevant engineering qualifications.
Candidates should have previous experience of working within the automotive industry, preferably manufacturing of Fluid Carrying Systems, Hoses, Pipes, HVAC etc...
