A World Leading Designer, Developer and Manufacturer of Components and Systems in Warwickshire are currently looking for a Technical Lead Compressor Designer to lead the technical development of compressor (principally blades) and all aspects of design including aerodynamic, mechanical integrity and design.

The Role

The key responsibilities of the Technical Lead Compressor Designer will include:

- Technical lead of compressor component and base development projects.
- Overseeing of all aspects of technical work including aerodynamics, mechanical integrity and design.
- Technical quality of the work produced in the group.
- Achieving formal approval in technical gate reviews.
- Satisfying internal quality requirements.

The Person

We are looking to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

- Several years' experience in turbomachinery component design.
- Broad technical experience in turbomachinery component (particularly blade) design.
- Use and knowledge of relevant in-house and commercial design and analysis software.
- General knowledge of turbomachinery.
- Behavioural skills / competencies
- General leadership skills, the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Project leadership skills.
